How to do the Sleeper Stretch
- Lie on your side with your bottom arm extended forward at shoulder height and your elbow bent to 90 degrees.
- Point the fingers of your bottom hand toward the ceiling.
- Use your top hand to gently press the bottom forearm down toward the floor.
- Stop when you feel a stretch in the back of your shoulder and breathe.
Tips
- Press slowly and gently; you should never feel pinching in the front of the shoulder.
Adjustments
- Roll your body back slightly or place a pillow under your head to take pressure off the shoulder.
