About This Complete Back Release Routine

This is the capstone session — the one that brings together everything your back needs into a single, thorough release. It combines mobility, strength, deep stretching, and restorative positions into the most complete back routine in the series. Nine exercises, each chosen because it addresses a different piece of the back care puzzle.

Cat-cow warms your spine. Thread-the-needle restores rotation. Bird-dog and bridge build stability. Pigeon and lying figure-four release the deep hip muscles that pull on your lower back. Spinal twist decompresses your mid-back. Happy baby opens your hips passively. And legs up the wall — the final position — reverses gravity’s effect on your lower body and lets your entire spine decompress in complete stillness.

The order is intentional: warm up, strengthen, stretch, then restore. Your back gets everything it needs, in the right sequence.
