About This Resistance Band Routine

A light resistance band is one of the simplest tools for healthier shoulders. This resistance band upper body routine pairs mobility with gentle strength work for the muscles that keep you upright.

What This Routine Targets

Your upper back, the small rotator cuff muscles, your chest and your lats. These are the areas that weaken and tighten when you spend your days hunched over screens.

What’s Included

Six moves in six minutes. You’ll sweep the band overhead in a pass-through, pull it apart across your chest, rotate your forearms outward, row from a seated position, lean into an overhead side bend, and finish with wall angels (no band needed).

Who Should Try This

Desk workers, anyone working on their posture, and anyone who wants a quick shoulder warm-up before training. A light, long loop or flat band works best.

Tips for Best Results

Choose a band light enough that you can move smoothly through every rep. Keep your shoulders down away from your ears and squeeze your shoulder blades gently together. Hold the band wider to make pass-throughs easier.
